Open Tryouts

The Process
Every year, the Sacramento Warlords Basketball Program holds open tryouts for its next flight of teams. Tryouts usually run for two or three nights, and consist of a series of drills, exercises, and game play. Warlord coaches and other organization members observe and evaluate the players. Meanwhile, the Board of Governors hosts an orientation session for parents, introducing them to the Sacramento Warlords and Asian “club ball.” At the conclusion of tryouts, selections are made, roster spots are offered, and a new generation of Warlords is established. Tryouts for existing teams may take place when roster spots become vacant.
